DTA-Day Treatment for Adults

People First has opened up another company called People First Extended Learning, LLC. The main focus of this agency is to provided extended learning for individuals with cognitive disabilities. This means that we will be giving training and working skills to extend past what they have already been taught. We will have a variety of programs that the clients cab choose from keeping in mind that all of the trainings are individualized to each person, and the clients will participate in planning those activities each week. Some of those trainings are, planting a garden, cooking from the garden when in season, computer classes, volunteering in the community, classes on how to find a job (from start to finish), arts & crafts, yard work, watering plants outside, cleaning & an art contest for wall hangings and much more. We can also provide transportation to and from the DTA program if the client has that service through DDD.
 
DTT- Day Treatment for Child (after school program)

This program has been developed for children to go to directly from school during the school year. We will work on Habilitation objectives which will include communication skills, to help develop positive social relationships in all areas of that clients life, participate in meaningful activities, help client experience new activities both at the DTT location and in the community, participate in planning what activities they would like to do each week , arts and crafts and much more. The client can also be picked up from school and taken home from our caregivers or by a family member.
